Tucked away in the Perth Hills, Alexis and Shannon’s wedding was a serene, stylish celebration in one of the most beautiful private gardens in Gooseberry Hill Patsy Durack’s Rose Gardens. With soft florals, heartfelt moments, and the natural beauty of the hills as their backdrop, the couple created a truly personal and memorable day.

A Peaceful Morning in the Hills

The morning began with Alexis getting ready at a nearby family home, just a short drive from the ceremony location. It was an intimate, sentimental start to the day, surrounded by close family and friends. The early light and calm energy set the tone for what would become a meaningful and effortlessly elegant celebration.

At Patsy Durack’s Rose Gardens, a marquee had been carefully set up for the reception, blending seamlessly into the surrounding gardens. With carefully curated furniture from Black Label Events and floral styling by Maple and Wren, the setup was a beautiful mix of natural charm and refined details.

A Ceremony Among the Roses

The ceremony itself was held in the garden, surrounded by blooming roses and lush greenery. Anne Miller, a much loved Perth celebrant, delivered a beautiful and heartfelt service that had everyone smiling and tearing up. Accompanied by the soothing live music of Champagne Wedding Duo, it was the kind of ceremony that felt timeless.

It’s important to note that Patsy Durack’s Rose Gardens is not a commercial wedding venue. Alexis and Shannon were granted special permission to host their ceremony and reception on the private property a rare opportunity that made their day feel even more exclusive and personal.

Wedding Photos in the Garden

After the ceremony, we explored the gardens for portraits. With golden light filtering through the trees and every corner filled with colour and texture, it was a photographer’s dream. The convenience of having the entire day in one location gave us time to be creative and capture a wide range of beautiful, candid, and relaxed images.

Patsy’s gardens offered a stunning variety of backdrops, from paths through the roses to sweeping lawn areas and beautiful trees. Every shot was infused with the couple’s style and the calm beauty of the surroundings.

A Relaxed, Intimate Celebration

As the sun dipped lower, guests enjoyed drinks and live acoustic music during cocktail hour. The reception was held under the marquee with coordination by Timeless Events Perth, who made sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. From the champagne toasts to heartfelt speeches and that first dance, the evening flowed with joy and warmth.

The beautiful wedding cake by Sieve and Stone stood proudly on display, perfectly styled to suit the garden setting. Later in the evening, Golden Apples DJs turned up the energy and got everyone dancing beneath the stars.

A One-of-a-Kind Location

Patsy Durack’s Rose Gardens, while not open to the public as a wedding venue, provided an incredibly special location for Alexis and Shannon’s day. The couple’s connection to the space and the rare opportunity to celebrate there made their wedding feel all the more personal and memorable.
