An Incredible Millbrook Winery Wedding, Amy and Cam.
Millbrook Winery a wedding venue with an outlook that will blow your guests away!
Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush vineyards, Millbrook Winery is a place where many couples choose as their wedding venue. It is easily understandable as the place is amazing with scenery that is absolutely stunning.
I always enjoy working at Millbrook Winery in Jarrahdale, I was especially looking forward to this wedding. As I was the photographer at Amy sister’s wedding a few years earlier, luckily I was available for them.
Getting Ready
The day began at the groom’s house. Cam and his groomsmen were in high spirits, getting ready and sharing laughs. A few beers always helps the Groom and groomsmen relax. The atmosphere was light and joyful, perfect for capturing some candid moments. The house was bustling with activity, but we managed to find a quiet spot for some thoughtful portraits of Cam.
After spending some time with the boys, I headed over to Amy’s parents’ house. The parents lived less than a kilometre away so very handy to save a bit of time travelling.
This was familiar territory for me, a time-lapse back in to her sister’s wedding. Amy and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the same rooms, with the same excited energy filling the air.
Amy’s parents’ house is beautiful, and it provided a perfect backdrop for the bridal preparations. Amy looked stunning in her wedding dress, and her bridesmaids were beautiful in their gowns.
The Ceremony
The wedding party (Bride) arrived in a classic VW Kombi van, which added a fun and quirky element to the day. It was a perfect reflection of Amy and Cam’s personalities.
Anne Miller, the celebrant, was already at Millbrook Winery when we arrived. I’ve worked with Anne on many occasions, and she is always fantastic. She has a way of making the ceremony feel personal and intimate, which is a joy to photograph. The ceremony took place on the picturesque lawn overlooking the lake towards the winery building. The setting was perfect, with the lush greenery and the serene lake in the background.
Amy walked down the aisle with her father, looking excited. Cam’s face lit up as he saw her, and it was clear how much they care for each other. The ceremony was filled with touching moments, from the heartfelt vows to the ring exchange. Anne always has a presence that adds to any wedding ceremony that I’ve witnessed.
Wedding Photography at Millbrook Winery
We took some time to capture portraits around the winery, making the most of the stunning scenery. The vineyards, the lake, and the rustic buildings provided endless opportunities.
Throughout the day, I focused on capturing both the big moments and the small details. The laughter, the tears, the cheeky moments these are some of the memories that make wedding photography so special. Millbrook Winery has so many spots around the venue that are great for photos. I mainly focused on the area near the main gates and out on Old Chestnut Lane with it’s beautiful Jarrah trees.
The Reception
After the ceremony, we moved to the reception area. Millbrook Winery is one of my favourite venues, and it never disappoints. The reception was held in the main room that overlooks the lake with beautiful decorations that complemented the natural surroundings. The tables were elegantly set, lush greenery and flowers that added a magical touch as the sun began to set.
The reception was a lively with the 100 + guests that created a positive vibe. Speeches were made, and they were filled with laughter and a few tears. Amy’s father gave a touching speech, sharing stories from her childhood and expressing his happiness for her and Cam. The best man’s speech was full of funny stories that had everyone in stitches.
Celebrations and Dancing
As the evening progressed, the dance floor came alive with the first dance. Amy and Cam’s first dance was a special moment, with the two of them dancing like no one was watching. Soon after, guests joined in, and the dance floor was filled with excited guests. The energy was electric, and I found myself smiling behind the camera as I captured the moments.
Off The Wall Promotions was also the DJ at Amy’s Sisters wedding and the sister’s call us as the dream team.
A Beautiful Wedding Celebration
I ended the day feeling grateful for the opportunity, being part of another of the family wedding celebrations. They are a wonderful couple, and their wedding day was a true reflection of their love for each other.
Amy and Cam’s wedding at Millbrook Winery was a day to remember. From the joyful preparations to the heartfelt ceremony and the lively reception.
Millbrook Winery continues to be one of my favourite places to photograph weddings, and I look forward to many more beautiful celebrations here. Millbrook Winery provides the perfect setting for anyone considering a wedding in a scenic location with outstanding food and wine.
