I first met the owner of Rothwood via a wedding group I was a part of, when Rothwood was in it’s early stages of becoming a popular wedding venue location. I had never done a wedding here as a photographer but had been to Rothwood many times for meetings with the group.

Well recently, I did my first wedding here as a photographer Wow! What a long way Rothwood has come since that first time seeing the place. They need to be congratulated for all the hard work.

Surrounded by natural bush and beautiful gardens the marquee comes to life around sunset and during the evening. Festoon lighting really brings out the best at Rothwood for that memorable wedding reception. The 200 sqm marquee is able to seat 100 guests very comfortably for a formal wedding reception along with a ceremony area. Should inclement weather happen on your day this is a great bonus. Fitted with 4 gas heaters have your wedding during winter months. Warmer weather just open the back walls to allow for the breeze to flow through.

Having accomodation on the property is a real bonus. This is going to make your wedding day preparation so easy. Boasting a 5 bedroom  3 bathroom homestead it is yours to use over the wedding event. Outdoor swimming pool and gazebo to relax for longer stays.

Besides the Marquee a sunken fire pit next to the bar area along with some stables and open paddocks. You need to pay Rothwood a visa to truely great a feel for this venue and what it can offer.Plenty of parking is onsite for the wedding guests. It’s not too far from the Perth city that Ubers or Taxi’s will pick you up easily. 

Wedding Photography at Rothwood

Doing photos around the venue it has more than enough locations to capture some amazing wedding photographs. The stable area and paddock are great there are plenty of spots around the gardens to capture something incredible.

My first wedding here was Zaneta and Bradley, the bride chose to get ready here while the groom at home. Their ceremony was at St Micheal the Archangel in West Leederville we also did some photos in Guildford. We arrived at Rothwood for more photos but if we had to do them all here it would be fine. 

They had the reception in the marquee with Prestige Catering providing the food service which are always top notch.

The dance floor was setup outside with Gerry from DJC Entertainment providing the tunes for the evening dancing. 

The wedding day with Zaneta and Brad was 14 hours so it was an epic wedding day for everyone involved.
