A Lavish Celebration: Jessie and Anthony’s Wedding at St Joseph’s Church and The Westin Perth
Jessie and Anthony’s wedding day was nothing short of remarkable a love-filled celebration that spanned 13 hours of photography for me on the day. Bringing together 160 of their closest family and friends. From a traditional church ceremony to a vibrant Chinese tea ceremony and a luxury ballroom reception, their day beautifully merged modern elegance with heartfelt tradition.

The Morning Begins: Groom and Bride Preparations
Our day began bright and early, with an 11:00 am ceremony setting the pace. I first joined Anthony at the couple’s home to capture his final moments of preparation a relaxed and joyful start with his groomsmen, surrounded by anticipation and excitement.

Afterward, I headed to The Westin Perth, where Jessie and her bridal party were getting ready. The atmosphere was calm but buzzing with energy as hair, makeup, and laughter filled the suite. Every detail from Jessie’s stunning gown to the quiet, emotional moments with her family set the tone for the day ahead.

The Ceremony at St Joseph’s Church, Subiaco
St Joseph’s Church in Subiaco was the perfect setting for their heartfelt ceremony. This historic Perth church, known for its stunning architecture and soft natural light, gave the couple’s vows a timeless backdrop. As Jessie walked down the aisle, you could see Anthony’s excitement.
Following the ceremony, guests congratulated the newlyweds in a flurry of hugs before we moved on to their family photos and wedding party photos.

Photos at UWA and The Westin Perth
Jessie and Anthony chose UWA (University of Western Australia) for their wedding party photos, a classic spot among Perth couples. Its arches, green spaces, and sandstone textures provided the perfect backdrop to capture candid, natural moments.

Afterwards, we returned to The Westin Perth for a second photo session. The city’s modern architecture and stylish hotel interiors offered an elegant, urban contrast to UWA’s timeless charm. We also spent some time shooting in the surrounding streets, making the most of the textures and reflections of the cityscape.

A Symbolic Chinese Tea Ceremony
Before the reception, Jessie and Anthony held a traditional Chinese tea ceremony an intimate and symbolic ritual honouring their families. The red décor, tea set, and ceremonial exchange between generations was a beautiful blend of heritage and respect, adding a meaningful pause in the midst of the celebration.
Grand Reception Entrance and Celebration
As evening fell, the ballroom at The Westin transformed into a luxurious space filled with florals, candlelight, and golden tones. Guests were treated to an electrifying entrance as Jessie and Anthony and the wedding party made their way into the reception with a choreographed dance routine the crowd went absolutely wild!

The night continued with heartfelt speeches, emotional dances, and a whole lot of laughter. It was a night of glamour, joy, and connection, and I was honoured to be there capturing every second.
Jessie and Anthony, thank you for letting me be part of such an incredible day. From the early morning prep to the last dance, your wedding was a true celebration of love, family, and joy. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and unforgettable memories.
